Another poor performance from the Firps saw them slump to their third straight defeat. Winning the toss and batting on a decent track, Old Firps shouyld have been looking at around 200 or so as a decent total, but a steady fall of wickets (some due to good bowling - others not so) allied with some tight bowling at the death meant that Firparnians only reached 138 from their 40 overs.
In the field, Firps' bowling lacked penetration and the Taverners batsmen played well and rode their luck to run out easy and well-deserved winners. Three losses in a row and Elton to come - everyone must be overjoyed.
