Old Firps' first, and (given by the current turn-outs) possibly only, win of the season against new opponents Brookhouse.
Brookhouse needed to make the teas and so batted first, and once Firps had eaked out the openers, a steady fall of wickets made it look like Brookhouse would be restricted to a hundred or so. A swift 59 from their number 8 batsman took Brookhouse's total well beyond this, with 142 for 9 being scored from their 40 overs.
In reply, a poor start of 13 for 3 was soon corrected by fine innings from Andys Cross and Luff, with Firps reaching the target with some 11 overs to spare and Andy Cross finishing on 54 not out.
