A most welcome second victory of the season on a scorching afternoon at Wickersley.
Losing the toss and being put into the hot outfield, Firps soon settled into a bowling rhythm after a shaky start. The matting wicket behaved reasonably well, excellent fielding, catching and bowling from Old Firps saw a steady fall of wickets, with Black & Decker finally being bowled out for 128 (Mmmm - the bowling figures were not entirely accurate - perhaps some bowlers figures suffered instead of others - or maybe the score was simply overdone) in 27 overs.
Old Firps' reply was often bordering on the tedious, but a steady display meant that the result was never in doubt, with Banno unbeaten at the end after another excellent knock.
